USB-C Direct — No Adapter Required

The USB-C plug connects directly to iPhone 15 and all later models — the same connector used for charging. No Lightning adapter, no 3.5mm adapter, no pairing process. The audio path is digital from the phone to a DAC built into the EarPods cable, which converts the signal at the very end of the chain. That is also why they only work on USB-C ports, not 3.5mm jacks — and why they sound cleaner than most adapter chains.

Do they work with Android phones?

Yes — any USB-C device that supports USB Audio Class plays audio through them, including most Android phones and Windows laptops. The remote’s play/pause and volume generally work; Siri activation is Apple-only.

Will they work on my iPhone 13 or 14?

No — those models have a Lightning port. You need the EarPods with Lightning connector instead (linked above). This USB-C version is for iPhone 15 and later.

Is there any audio delay when watching video or gaming?

No — the connection is wired and digital, so audio is perfectly in sync. This is one of the main advantages over Bluetooth earbuds for video and mobile gaming.

Can I use them while charging the phone?

They use the same USB-C port as the charger, so not simultaneously without a dual-port splitter. Most people charge before or after listening; for all-day desk use a MagSafe or wireless charger alongside solves it.

Are they sweat-proof for the gym?

They are sweat and water resistant — fine for workouts, running and rain. They are not waterproof, so keep them out of the shower and pool.
