Huawei AM116 Wired In-Ear Earphones with Mic – 3.5mm

Metal build

Aluminium where plastic lives

The machined shell survives pockets and keys — and simply feels a class above its price.

Open fit

Half-in-ear awareness

Sits at the ear’s entrance rather than sealing it: traffic, announcements and colleagues stay audible — the safer commute fit many prefer.

Daily kit

Remote + mic

Volume keys, call button and a clear mic on the cable — everything the workday asks of a wired pair.

Right choice if you…

✔ Prefer open-fit comfort over sealed isolation
✔ Want metal build at budget price
✔ Use a Huawei/Honor phone — its native pair
✔ Take calls on the move

Consider something else if…

✖ You want bass-heavy sealed sound — in-ear pairs like the EG920 seal deeper
✖ Noisy commutes — open fit lets sound in by design
✖ No 3.5mm jack — adapter territory

Frequently Asked Questions

Half-in-ear vs in-ear — which suits me?

Half-in-ear stays comfortable for hours and keeps you aware; in-ear seals for bass and isolation. Commuters split on it — this is the aware option.

Does it work with non-Huawei phones?

Yes — standard 3.5mm wiring; remote and mic work broadly across Android and on laptops.

Is the metal body just looks?

No — it’s the durability story; cable strain points survive where all-plastic pairs crack.

Genuine Huawei?

Yes — AM116 retail, with maibo’s standard return cover.
