The Logitech G PRO Wireless gaming mouse with HERO 25K was developed over two years with direct input from more than 50 professional esports players — the G PRO Wireless has been used competitively at the highest level of Counter-Strike, Valorant, Apex Legends and League of Legends, and the hardware reflects what professionals actually require rather than what appears impressive on a specification sheet. The central technical achievement is LIGHTSPEED wireless: a proprietary 2.4GHz wireless protocol engineered to achieve a 1ms report rate — the same figure as the best wired gaming connections. Standard Bluetooth achieves 7.5ms at best; the 1ms LIGHTSPEED connection eliminates the latency argument that kept professional players on wired mice for years. The HERO 25K sensor tracks at up to 25,600 DPI with zero smoothing, zero acceleration and zero filtering applied to the sensor output at any sensitivity setting — the cursor position reported to the system is the raw sensor reading, nothing else. HERO 25K also consumes ten times less power than the previous-generation PMW3366 sensor, which enables the lighter internal battery that contributes to the 80g total weight. The 80g figure is achieved through an endoskeleton design — a structural internal chassis carries the load-bearing functions, allowing the outer shell to be extremely thin without sacrificing rigidity. Four removable side buttons are included — two pre-installed on the left side for right-handed use, with the other two installable on the right side for left-handed configurations. The POWERPLAY charging mat (sold separately) maintains the battery charge continuously during use by transmitting power through the mousepad, effectively giving infinite battery life when paired with the compatible mat. Genuine Logitech G. 2-year warranty.
LIGHTSPEED Wireless
1ms Report Rate — Wired Performance, No Wire
LIGHTSPEED is Logitech G’s proprietary 2.4GHz wireless protocol designed specifically to eliminate the latency disadvantage of wireless gaming. Consumer Bluetooth operates at a 7.5ms report rate under ideal conditions — the mouse reports its position to the computer 133 times per second. LIGHTSPEED operates at a 1ms report rate — 1,000 position reports per second, matching the standard used by wired gaming mice. The latency difference between 1ms and 7.5ms is 6.5ms, which is below the threshold of human perception for most actions, but professional players at the highest competitive level have consistently reported that 1ms connections feel more immediate and reliable than Bluetooth. LIGHTSPEED also uses a dedicated nano USB receiver that operates on a frequency band selected to avoid interference from Wi-Fi and other Bluetooth devices in the local environment, maintaining the 1ms connection stability in congested wireless environments like LAN events. The receiver stores in a port on the underside of the mouse for transport.
HERO 25K Sensor
Zero Smoothing · 25,600 DPI · 400+ IPS
The HERO 25K sensor operates without any smoothing, acceleration or filtering applied to its output at any DPI setting. Smoothing is a processing step some optical sensors apply to reduce jitter in the reported cursor position — it makes movement appear cleaner but introduces a predictive element that softens rapid direction changes and makes the sensor’s response lag the physical movement slightly. Acceleration is a multiplier that increases cursor speed as physical movement speed increases, which makes precise low-speed movements and fast sweeps behave differently in ways that are inconsistent with the user’s muscle memory. The HERO 25K applies neither. The DPI range spans 100 to 25,600 in increments of 50, with up to five presets configurable in G HUB for rapid in-game switching. The sensor tracks at over 400 IPS (inches per second) and over 40G of acceleration — the first figure is the maximum physical speed at which the sensor maintains accurate tracking; the second is the maximum deceleration at which it does not lose tracking position. Both figures are substantially above what any human can achieve in practice, meaning the sensor performance does not limit play at any sensitivity setting.
80g Endoskeleton
Ultra-Lightweight — Tournament Durability
The 80g weight of the G PRO Wireless is achieved through an endoskeleton construction: a rigid internal frame carries the structural loads — button forces, cable tension, drop resistance — allowing the outer plastic shell to be made very thin without the shell itself needing to carry structural load. This approach produces less mass than a conventional solid-shell design at the same rigidity level. Lower mouse weight reduces the force required to start and stop mouse movements, which matters most in fast, low-sensitivity FPS play where the mouse is accelerated and decelerated rapidly across the pad many times per second. The click buttons use switches rated for 50 million actuations — approximately 25 years of daily use at 100 clicks per day. The PTFE feet on the underside are low-friction and wear-resistant, providing consistent glide across cloth and hard mousepads throughout the product’s life. The ambidextrous body accommodates palm, claw and fingertip grip styles for both right and left-handed users; the G PRO body shape has been adopted as a reference design by multiple competing manufacturers.
Great choice if you…
✔ Want pro-grade wireless performance — LIGHTSPEED 1ms matches wired latency
✔ Compete at a high level in FPS or MOBA titles where sensor and latency matter
✔ Need an ambidextrous mouse — suits both right and left-handed grip
✔ Use or plan to use a Logitech POWERPLAY mat for continuous wireless charging
✔ Want the lightest possible mouse without compromising on sensor or wireless quality
Consider something else if…
✖ You want even lighter — see G PRO X Superlight 2 (60g, 44K DPI, USB-C)
