HERO achieves 1:1 tracking accuracy — the cursor moves exactly the distance the physical mouse moves, with no smoothing, no filtering and no acceleration — across its full DPI range from 100 to 25,400 DPI and across the full range of movement speeds that competitive players generate. Many sensors apply motion filtering at high speeds that slightly smooths cursor position to compensate for tracking errors; HERO does not, which means every micro-movement registers exactly. The sensor’s power efficiency is also exceptional — it consumes approximately ten times less power than sensors of comparable accuracy in previous generations, which directly enables the 70-hour battery life without a heavier battery. DPI is configurable through Logitech G HUB software in 50-DPI increments, allowing precise tuning to any sensitivity preference. The sensor’s polling rate is 1ms (1000Hz) — the cursor position updates every millisecond, matching the performance of wired gaming mice.

LIGHTSPEED is Logitech’s proprietary 2.4GHz wireless protocol, designed specifically for gaming input devices. The fundamental performance requirement is end-to-end latency of 1ms — the same report rate as a USB wired gaming mouse. LIGHTSPEED achieves this through frequency hopping: the dongle continuously monitors the 2.4GHz spectrum and switches to the least congested channel, avoiding interference from other 2.4GHz devices (WiFi, other wireless peripherals) that could introduce latency spikes. The USB LIGHTSPEED dongle is small and designed for laptop use — it stores in the underside of the mouse for travel. Battery life of up to 70 hours means that for most players, the mouse needs charging once or twice a week at most. Charging is via the included USB-C cable — the mouse can be used wired while charging. What is the difference between the PRO X SUPERLIGHT and PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2?

The PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 (910-006636) is the successor, released in 2023. Key differences: the SUPERLIGHT 2 uses the newer HERO 2 sensor (25,600 DPI ceiling, improved accuracy), weighs under 60g (a further ~3g reduction), and adds a dedicated DPI button on the underside. Both use LIGHTSPEED wireless at 1ms. The original SUPERLIGHT remains competitive — the HERO 25K sensor is excellent and the weight difference is marginal for most players.

Is the PRO X SUPERLIGHT left-hand compatible?

Yes. The PRO X SUPERLIGHT has a symmetrical shell — it is equally usable with either hand. There are no thumb buttons on the right side that would obstruct a left-handed grip. The two side buttons are on the left side of the mouse only, accessible to right-handed users as standard thumb buttons.

Can I use the PRO X SUPERLIGHT while it charges?
