The boom microphone on the H111 solves the most common problem with headset microphones: fixed-side placement. Many headsets are built with the boom on the left only, which is uncomfortable for left-handed users or anyone whose workspace layout makes a left-side boom inconvenient. The H111’s boom rotates 180° — swing it to the left, use it on the left; swing it to the right, use it on the right. The gooseneck allows fine positioning of the microphone capsule toward or away from the mouth. Proximity to the mouth is one of the most important factors in call quality: a microphone closer to the mouth captures more direct voice signal relative to ambient room noise, which is how the noise-cancellation characteristic is achieved — the cardioid pickup pattern rejects off-axis room noise while the close proximity maximises the voice signal. When the microphone is not needed, the boom rotates to a stowed position out of the field of view.

Single 3.5mm Jack

Plug and Play — No Drivers Required

The H111 uses a single 3.5mm TRRS connector that carries both stereo audio output and microphone input through one plug. This matches the combined headphone/mic socket used on most modern laptops, MacBooks, Chromebooks, smartphones and tablets — one plug, one socket, instant recognition by the operating system without any driver installation or software setup. For desktop PCs and older laptops that have separate 3.5mm headphone and microphone sockets, a Y-splitter adapter (sold separately) divides the single TRRS plug into two TRS plugs. Compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android and iOS. On smartphones, it connects directly to the headphone jack without an adapter; for iPhones without a headphone jack, a Lightning-to-3.5mm or USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter connects it. The 235cm cable extends well beyond typical desk setups, allowing the connected device to remain at the far side of the desk without the cable becoming taut.

On-Ear Supraaural Design

The supraaural (on-ear) design positions the ear cushions against the outer ear rather than enclosing it in a sealed over-ear cup. This makes the headset lighter and less physically imposing during extended wear — the clamping force is distributed across the ear rather than around it, which most users find more comfortable for multi-hour use. It also means ambient sound passes around the ear cushions, keeping the wearer aware of their office environment, notifications and conversations nearby — practical for open-plan offices or home setups where total isolation would be inappropriate. The adjustable headband slider accommodates head sizes from compact to large with a firm click-adjustment rather than a friction slider, maintaining the set position during use. The foam ear cushions can be replaced when worn — Logitech and third-party replacements are available.
