The Logitech M720 Triathlon multi-device Bluetooth wireless mouse is built for the user who works across multiple computers — the person whose desk has a work laptop, a personal laptop and perhaps a desktop, and who currently picks up and puts down the same mouse or uses separate mice for each machine. The M720 Triathlon stores three Bluetooth or Unifying pairings simultaneously and switches between them with the Easy-Switch button on the underside — three illuminated number indicators (1, 2, 3) show which device is currently active. The switch is immediate: press the button once, the cursor appears on the next computer. Combined with Logitech’s FLOW feature in Logi Options+ software, the cursor can also be made to move between computers automatically when pushed to the edge of the screen, as if the displays were part of a single extended desktop. The dual-mode scroll wheel is the M720’s most distinctive feature relative to standard mice: a button on the top switches the scroll wheel between click-to-click mode (discrete notched scrolling for precise line-by-line control) and hyper-fast mode (the scroll wheel spins freely with minimal friction, traversing thousands of lines in a single flick — useful for long documents, web pages and spreadsheets where large distances need to be covered quickly). The wheel also tilts left and right for horizontal scrolling in spreadsheets and wide documents. The seven-button layout adds a hidden thumb button and two side buttons that default to browser back/forward but are fully remappable in Logi Options+ to any shortcut, macro, application launch or desktop gesture. The full-size body has a rubber-coated surface and is sculpted for right-handed palm grip. A single AA battery provides up to 24 months of use, with a battery indicator LED on top. Genuine Logitech. 2-year warranty.
Easy-Switch · 3 Devices
Bluetooth + Unifying — Instant Switching
The M720 Triathlon stores three separate connection profiles in its internal memory — each profile can be assigned to a Bluetooth device or to the Unifying USB receiver channel for a specific computer. The Easy-Switch button cycles through the three profiles, with three small LED indicators (numbered 1, 2, 3) showing which is active. Each switch is completed in approximately half a second. The Unifying receiver can host up to six compatible Logitech peripherals on a single USB-A port — if you already use a Logitech Unifying keyboard, both devices can share the same receiver. Bluetooth connects without any dongle to any compatible laptop, tablet or desktop. The combination of all three Bluetooth profiles plus the Unifying receiver means you can pair four devices in total — three via Bluetooth and one via the Unifying receiver — though only three profiles are stored and selectable at a time. Logi Options+ software (free, Windows and macOS) enables FLOW, which moves the cursor automatically between computers when it reaches the screen edge, without requiring a button press.
Dual-Mode Scroll · Tilt-Wheel
Hyper-Fast + Click-to-Click + Horizontal
The M720’s scroll wheel operates in two distinct modes controlled by a toggle button on the top of the mouse. In click-to-click mode, the wheel moves in discrete notched increments — each click of the wheel moves the page a fixed number of lines, giving precise, controlled navigation through code, spreadsheets, PDFs and any content where exact line positioning matters. In hyper-fast mode, the internal ratchet mechanism disengages, allowing the wheel to spin freely under inertia — a single confident spin covers thousands of lines, making it practical to jump between sections of a long document, scroll to the bottom of a webpage or navigate through a long email thread in a second or two rather than several seconds of rapid clicking. The transition between modes is immediate with a single button press, and the current mode is detectable by feel. The tilt-wheel adds left and right physical deflection of the scroll wheel: push the wheel left to scroll left, right to scroll right — ideal for large spreadsheets and wide design files that extend beyond the visible window width. All scroll functions work natively across all supported operating systems without additional software.
7 Buttons · 24-Month Battery
Full Control · Long-Term Reliability
The M720 Triathlon provides seven physical buttons: left click, right click, scroll wheel click, two side buttons (thumb-accessible, default back/forward), a hidden thumb button on the left flank, and the scroll mode toggle. All six non-scroll-mode-toggle buttons are programmable in Logi Options+, allowing them to be assigned to keyboard shortcuts, application launches, desktop gestures, media controls, copy/paste, screenshot or any macro sequence. The rubber-coated right-handed body provides a soft, tacky surface that maintains grip without requiring firm hold, reducing hand fatigue during long sessions. The battery indicator LED on the top of the mouse glows red when charge is low. A single AA battery provides up to 24 months of typical use — the figure that matters most for a battery-powered device that needs to be reliable rather than frequently charged. The M720 also includes an on/off switch on the underside to preserve battery life when the mouse is packed for travel. Click mechanisms are rated for 10 million actuations.
