Control Without Opening — Single Tap

The Smart View window is the central feature that separates this case from a standard flip cover. When the front cover is closed, One UI detects the cover state via a magnet embedded in the case and activates the Smart View display mode — showing a compact widget on the portion of the screen visible through the window. The widget shows the current time, incoming call details (caller name and photo if in contacts), notification icons from selected apps, and music playback controls. A single tap on the outside of the closed cover — through the transparent window — registers as a touch input on the screen behind it. This allows incoming calls to be answered, music to be paused and notifications to be dismissed without opening the case. Three features in particular — time display, notification previews and music control — are available through the closed cover in full use, making routine interactions entirely possible without ever opening the flip.

The difference shows in the tolerance of every cut-out: the USB-C port opening, S Pen silo slot, triple-camera array aperture, speaker grilles and all button positions align precisely without play or misalignment. The case snaps onto the S24 Ultra’s titanium frame at the correct tension — firm enough to stay in place but not so tight as to require force to fit or remove. Wireless (Qi) charging passes through the case at full speed — the case does not need to be removed for charging. The Smart View functionality is dependent on the EF-ZS928 case magnet communicating with the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s software — this integration only works with Samsung’s own case, which is why the Smart View feature cannot be replicated by third-party alternatives.

It accommodates one standard card — a contactless bank card, Oyster card, gym card or any ISO standard card — making the S24 Ultra a viable alternative to carrying a separate wallet for everyday outings. The slot is sized for a single card only; attempting to fit multiple cards would compromise the case’s ability to close flat. The case materials are certified by UL to contain a minimum of 26% post-consumer recycled plastic (UL ECVP 2809-2) and at least 4% bio-based content in the outer frame (UL ECVP 9798) — independently verified figures, not marketing claims. The outer surface is finished in a matte texture that resists fingerprints and provides grip.
