If the cable on your MDR-Z7M2 is damaged or lost, or you want a spare, this is the genuine part. It is Sony’s own cable, not a generic replacement, with a gold-plated 3.5mm stereo mini plug that connects directly to portable players, laptops, audio interfaces and headphone amplifiers.

At the headphone end, two 3.5mm connectors plug into the left and right earcups and lock in place with Sony’s threaded collars, so the cable cannot be pulled out by accident. Sony uses the same connector design on the MDR-Z7 and MDR-Z1R. There is no microphone or remote. This unit is brand new and unused, supplied in bulk packaging — the cable only, without the original Sony retail box.

Sony uses the same dual 3.5mm screw-lock connectors on the MDR-Z7M2, MDR-Z7 and MDR-Z1R, so one cable fits all three.

Gold-Plated 3.5mm
