What is AirTouch on the JBL Go 5?
AirTouch lets you pair two Go 5 speakers as a stereo pair simply by tapping them together end to end — a chime confirms the connection. You can also pair them in the JBL Portable app.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 8 hours of playback, or up to 10 hours with Playtime Boost switched on. A full charge takes about 3 hours over USB-C.
Is the JBL Go 5 waterproof?
Yes. It is rated IP68, so it is protected against dust and can withstand submersion in water, making it suitable for the beach, pool or shower.
Can I connect it to other JBL speakers?
Yes. The Go 5 supports Auracast, so you can link it with other Auracast-compatible JBL speakers for bigger sound, and AirTouch for quick stereo pairing with a second Go 5.
Is a charging cable included?
No. The Go 5 charges via USB-C, but JBL does not include a USB cable in the box — any USB-C cable and phone charger will work.
Can I play music over the USB-C cable?
Yes. Besides charging, the USB-C port supports wired lossless audio up to 24-bit/48 kHz from a compatible device.
