Standard in-ear tips rely on canal pressure to stay in place, which fails under the repeated jaw movement, head rotation and sweat of a workout. The StayHear+ Sport tips use a soft silicone wing that extends from the tip body and seats into the concha — the curved bowl of the outer ear — creating a second anchor point entirely independent of canal fit. The result is a tip that stays put when running on uneven terrain, through the head movement of HIIT, and in the saddle on a bike. The wing is soft enough not to create pressure discomfort over extended wear. Tips are included in three sizes — S, M and L — to fit different ear geometries. The Aqua colour is carried through the tip body as well as the cable and housing, giving the earphones a consistent visual identity. For users who have previously found Bose earphones too large or too small, the three-size kit covers the majority of ear shapes. Tips are replaceable and Bose StayHear+ replacement packs are widely available.

The Bose Connect app provides multi-device connectivity, allowing the earphones to remember and switch between a phone and a tablet without re-pairing. Battery life of up to 6 hours covers a full day of commuting and training without recharging. The Micro-USB charge cable recharges the internal lithium-ion battery, and the LED indicator on the inline remote shows remaining charge level before heading out. Sweat and weather resistance in the SoundSport Wireless is an engineering specification applied to the chassis seams, driver housing and connector points — not a surface treatment. The earphones are tested to handle the sweat output of intensive training and the light rain and humidity encountered during outdoor use. They are not rated for submersion or heavy rain. The inline three-button remote is positioned on the cable between the two earpieces, within easy reach of the chin without looking. Volume up, volume down and the centre multifunction button handle all primary functions: pause and play, track skip (double tap), call answer and end, and voice assistant activation (long press) for Siri, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The built-in microphone on the remote provides clear call audio in moderate wind and ambient noise conditions — adequate for taking calls during a workout without stopping. No noise cancellation — the SoundSport Wireless is deliberately open to ambient sound for outdoor safety, allowing traffic and environmental audio through while music plays.
