The Logitech G304 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse – Blue is one of the most popular wireless gaming mice ever made, and for good reason: Logitech’s HERO sensor, LIGHTSPEED wireless at a 1ms report rate and up to 250 hours from a single AA battery, in a light 99g body. It tracks from 200 to 12,000 DPI with zero smoothing or acceleration, has six programmable buttons and stores its USB receiver inside the shell. The G304 is the regional name for the G305 — the same mouse, in a blue finish.
Sensor
HERO, 200–12,000 DPI
HERO is Logitech G’s own optical sensor and is up to ten times more power-efficient than the previous generation, which is what lets a single AA battery last up to 250 hours. It tracks from 200 to 12,000 DPI with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration, handles 400 IPS and 40G, and stores one profile on board, so your settings follow the mouse between computers.
Wireless
LIGHTSPEED at 1ms
LIGHTSPEED is Logitech’s pro-grade wireless, the same technology used in its esports mice. It reports at 1000Hz, or once every millisecond, so movement and clicks register as quickly as on a wired mouse. The nano USB receiver plugs into any USB-A port and stores inside the mouse when you travel, so there is no cable to snag on the desk.
Build
99g, six buttons, 250km feet
At 99g including the battery the G304 is light enough for fast flicks, and the mechanical button tensioning system keeps the left and right clicks crisp and consistent. Six programmable buttons can be set up in Logitech G HUB, and the PTFE feet are rated for 250km of travel. The compact shape suits small to medium hands and both palm and claw grips.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Logitech G304 battery last?
Logitech rates it at up to 250 hours of continuous gaming on a single AA battery, thanks to the power-efficient HERO sensor. Battery life varies with use and the battery itself.
Is the Logitech G304 the same as the G305?
Yes. The G304 and G305 are the same mouse sold under different model names in different regions, with the same HERO sensor, LIGHTSPEED wireless and 99g weight.
Does the G304 have lag compared to a wired mouse?
LIGHTSPEED wireless runs at a 1000Hz (1ms) report rate, which is the same polling rate most wired gaming mice use, so in practice it feels as responsive as a cable.
Does the Logitech G304 work with a Mac?
Yes. It works with Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.13 or later and ChromeOS through the included USB receiver. Logitech G HUB software is optional for DPI and button settings.
Where is the USB receiver stored on the G304?
The LIGHTSPEED nano receiver stores inside the mouse under the top cover next to the AA battery, so it travels with the mouse and is hard to lose.
