The Logitech G502 X PLUS Black/Purple is the top model of the G502 X family: the redesigned wireless G502 with LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting added. It keeps the sculpted right-handed shape that made the G502 the best-selling gaming mouse Logitech has made, and pairs it with LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical switches, a HERO sensor, LIGHTSPEED wireless that Logitech rates 68% faster than the previous generation, and USB-C charging. An 8-LED RGB array with 16.8 million colours sits across the top, and play detection dims it automatically while you move the mouse to save battery. There are 13 programmable controls, a dual-mode tilt wheel and a removable, reversible DPI-shift button. This is model 910-007811 in Black/Purple.

What the PLUS Adds — and What It Costs in Battery
The difference between the G502 X PLUS and the G502 X LIGHTSPEED is lighting. The PLUS has an 8-LED LIGHTSYNC RGB array with 16.8 million colours, which you can sync with other Logitech G gear, match to your setup or drive from music and media in G HUB. Lighting uses power, so Logitech rates the battery at up to 130 hours with RGB switched off and around 37 hours with RGB always on. Play detection helps: while your hand is moving the mouse, the lights dim automatically, and they come back when you stop, so in real gaming you get well above the always-on figure. If you never use the lighting, the non-RGB G502 X LIGHTSPEED gives you the same mouse with a longer battery. With a Logitech POWERPLAY mat (sold separately), battery stops being a question at all: the mouse charges wirelessly while you play.
LIGHTFORCE · HERO · LIGHTSPEED
Switches, Sensor and the 2026 Firmware Update
LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches register clicks optically — faster, and immune to the double-clicking that wears out traditional microswitches — while a mechanical element keeps a crisp, tactile click. The HERO sensor tracks with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration. It ships with a maximum of 25,600 DPI; in September 2026 Logitech announced a G HUB firmware update for the G502 X family that raises the ceiling to 44,000 DPI and adds separate X and Y sensitivity, so update the mouse in G HUB to get it. LIGHTSPEED is Logitech’s tournament-grade 2.4 GHz connection, with no practical difference from a cable. There is no Bluetooth: the mouse connects through the included USB receiver or by the USB-C cable, and you can keep playing wired while it charges.
13 Controls · Tilt Wheel · DPI-Shift
The G502 Control Layout, Refined
Thirteen programmable controls cover the main clicks, a scroll wheel that clicks and tilts left and right, forward and back, DPI up and down, and a DPI-shift “sniper” button that drops sensitivity while held. That DPI-shift button has been redesigned: remove it and reverse it to sit closer to your thumb, or swap in the included blank cover if you never use it and want to avoid accidental presses. The scroll wheel switches between precise ratchet steps and a hyper-fast free spin. Every control can be mapped to keys, macros and game-specific profiles in Logitech G HUB, and profiles are stored on the mouse so they work on any PC. Unlike the original G502, the G502 X family does not use removable weights; the shape is sculpted for the right hand only, with a thumb rest on the left side.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the G502 X PLUS and the G502 X LIGHTSPEED?

Is it 25K or 44K DPI?
It ships with a maximum of 25,600 DPI. Logitech announced a G HUB firmware update in September 2026 that raises it to 44,000 DPI with separate X and Y sensitivity.
Does it support Bluetooth?
