The Samsung Galaxy Tab EU Charger Set combines the official Samsung EP-TA10EWE EU wall adapter with the official Samsung ECC1DP0UBEG 30-pin USB cable — the complete charging solution for original Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 2 series tablets. The 30-pin connector was Samsung’s proprietary tablet connector used across the original Galaxy Tab range from 2010 to 2013, before Samsung transitioned to Micro-USB and subsequently USB-C. If you own a Galaxy Tab P1000, P1010, P6200, P6800, P7100, P7300, P7500, Tab 2 series, Tab 7.7, Tab 8.9 or Galaxy Note 10.1, this is the original Samsung charging set for your device. Replacement charging equipment for these models is increasingly difficult to find — using the genuine Samsung adapter and cable ensures correct voltage delivery and full USB data sync functionality. The EU 2-pin adapter is compatible with European sockets; a standard EU to UK plug adapter is required for use with British three-pin sockets.
EP-TA10EWE · 5V/2A EU Adapter
Official Samsung Wall Adapter
The EP-TA10EWE is Samsung’s original EU travel adapter for the Galaxy Tab series — a compact 2-pin EU plug with a USB-A output port rated at 5V/2A (10W). The 2A output is matched to the Galaxy Tab’s charging circuit, providing a full charge rate compared to the lower 0.5A–1A available from a computer USB port. The adapter accepts 100–240V AC input, making it universally compatible with any European socket voltage, and outputs a stable 5V regulated supply through the USB-A port. The USB-A port accepts any standard USB cable — the included 30-pin cable connects directly, but the adapter can also be used with Micro-USB or USB-C cables for other devices. The compact form factor and fold-flat pins keep the adapter pocket-sized for travel. Third-party generic adapters rated at the same 5V/2A specification exist, but Samsung’s own adapter is tested against the Tab’s firmware and charging management circuit, ensuring correct charging behaviour and eliminating the risk of incompatibility or unstable voltage supply from generic products.
ECC1DP0UBEG · 30-Pin USB Cable
Charging and Data Sync
The Samsung 30-pin connector is a wide, proprietary connector used on all original Galaxy Tab models from the Tab P1000 through the Tab 2 series and Note 10.1. Unlike the later Micro-USB connector used on Galaxy phones of the same era, the Galaxy Tab series used this wider 30-pin dock connector — visually similar to the Apple 30-pin connector used on older iPods and iPads but physically incompatible. The ECC1DP0UBEG cable provides both charging and USB data transfer: connect to the EP-TA10EWE adapter for charging, or connect directly to a computer’s USB port for data sync, file transfer, and device mounting. The cable supports Samsung’s standard USB sync protocol, allowing the Tab to appear as a mass storage device or MTP device on Windows and Mac computers. Replacement 30-pin cables for Samsung Galaxy Tab are increasingly scarce as the connector has been discontinued for over a decade — genuine Samsung cables maintain the correct pin configuration and signal integrity that generic replacements sometimes fail to deliver.
Compatible Galaxy Tab Models
Original Tab · Tab 2 · Note 10.1
The Samsung 30-pin connector was used across Samsung’s first three generations of Galaxy Tab tablets. The original Galaxy Tab (GT-P1000, GT-P1010) launched in 2010 used this connector. Samsung continued it through the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800), Tab 8.9 (GT-P7300, GT-P7310), Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500, GT-P7510), Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8000, GT-N8010), Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100, GT-P3110), and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5100, GT-P5110). From approximately 2013, Samsung transitioned the Tab range to Micro-USB (Tab 3 series onwards) and later USB-C, making the 30-pin connector specific to these earlier models. The adapter and cable in this set are not compatible with Galaxy Tab 3 or later, Galaxy Tab A, Tab S or any current Samsung tablet — those models use Micro-USB or USB-C. If your Galaxy Tab has a wide, flat connector port (not a small rounded Micro-USB port), this set is correct for your device.
Right choice if you…
✔ Own a Galaxy Tab P1000, Tab 2, Tab 7.7, Tab 8.9, Tab 10.1 or Note 10.1 with a wide 30-pin connector
✔ Need to replace a lost or damaged original charger set with genuine Samsung components
✔ Want the adapter and cable bundled together — no need to source separately
✔ Need EU 2-pin plug format for European travel or a European customer
Consider something else if…
✖ You own a Galaxy Tab 3, Tab A, Tab S, Tab S2 or any current Samsung tablet — those use Micro-USB or USB-C, not 30-pin
✖ You need a UK 3-pin plug — this is EU 2-pin; a standard EU to UK travel adapter is required for British sockets
✖ You only need the cable — the adapter and cable are sold together as a set in this listing

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my Galaxy Tab uses a 30-pin connector?
Look at the charging port on the bottom edge of your tablet. The Samsung 30-pin connector is wide and flat — approximately 2cm across — and rectangular. If the port looks like a wide flat slot, your Tab uses 30-pin. If the port is small and rounded (Micro-USB), or reversible (USB-C), your tablet is a newer model and this set is not compatible.
Will this work with a UK socket?
The adapter has a EU 2-pin plug (Type C/F) and will not fit directly into a UK 3-pin socket. A standard EU to UK travel plug adapter is required — these are available widely and inexpensively. The adapter’s input accepts 100–240V, so it is electrically compatible with UK mains voltage (230V) once the physical plug is adapted.
Is the 30-pin connector the same as Apple’s 30-pin?
No. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 30-pin connector and Apple’s old 30-pin Dock connector are different — visually similar in shape but physically incompatible. Samsung cables will not connect to Apple devices and Apple cables will not connect to Samsung Galaxy Tabs. The pin layout and signal assignments are entirely different.
Can I use this adapter with other devices via a different cable?
Yes. The EP-TA10EWE adapter outputs 5V/2A from a standard USB-A port — any USB-A cable can be connected to it. Micro-USB, USB-C or Lightning cables connected to the adapter’s USB-A port will charge compatible devices at up to 2A/10W, making it a general-purpose 10W USB charger for any device with USB charging.
