- ✓ Balanced, natural Sennheiser sound · 17Hz–20kHz
- ✓ In-line one-button remote and microphone for calls and music
- ✓ 3 ear tip sizes (S/M/L) for a comfortable, noise-isolating fit
- ✓ 1.2m cable · angled 3.5mm plug · no charging · 10g
The Sennheiser CX 80S are everyday wired earphones that get the essentials right: Sennheiser’s balanced, natural sound, a light and comfortable in-ear fit, and an in-line remote with microphone for calls and music. Dynamic drivers cover 17Hz to 20kHz for full, clear sound without exaggerated bass or harsh treble — the kind of tuning that stays enjoyable for hours. Three sizes of silicone ear tips help you find a seal that blocks outside noise, and the 1.2m cable ends in an angled 3.5mm plug that is less likely to snag in a pocket. No charging, no pairing, no Bluetooth delay. Black, Sennheiser model 508896.
Sennheiser Sound · 17Hz–20kHz
Balanced, Natural Sound
Sennheiser tunes the CX 80S for a balanced, uncompressed sound rather than a bass-heavy one. Vocals are clear, instruments sound natural, and the low end has body without swamping the rest of the music — which makes them good for long listening sessions, podcasts and audiobooks as well as music. The closed dynamic drivers cover 17Hz to 20kHz, and at 28 ohms with 119dB sensitivity they get plenty loud from phones, tablets, laptops and portable players without needing an amplifier. For many people this is the main reason to choose a Sennheiser over generic earphones at a similar price: the tuning is simply more refined.
In-Line Remote · Microphone
Calls and Music Without Your Phone
A one-button smart remote on the cable lets you play and pause music and answer and end calls without taking your phone out of your pocket, and the built-in omnidirectional microphone picks up your voice clearly for calls, voice notes and video meetings. The 3.5mm plug is a four-pole TRRS connector, so the microphone works with phones, tablets and laptops that have a combined headset socket. On an iPhone or iPad with a Lightning port you will need Apple’s Lightning to 3.5mm adapter, and on USB-C phones a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter.
3 Ear Tip Sizes · 10g · 1.2m Cable
Light, Comfortable, Well-Sealed
The small, lightweight earpieces weigh just 10 grams with the cable and sit comfortably in the ear. Silicone ear tips in three sizes — small, medium and large — are included; take a moment to try them, because the right size gives a good seal, which both improves bass and blocks out traffic and office noise. The 1.2m cable is a symmetric length, so both earpieces hang evenly, and the angled 3.5mm jack is kinder to headphone sockets and pockets than a straight plug. Being wired, they never need charging and never drop out — ideal as everyday earphones, a backup pair in a bag, or for flights and travel.
